Getting around Croydon

Croydon is one of South London’s best-connected areas but there are plenty of situations where a private hire car is the most practical option.

East Croydon station

East Croydon is one of the busiest rail stations south of the Thames, with Thameslink services to London Bridge and Bedford, Southern services and Gatwick Express trains running directly to Gatwick Airport. We regularly collect passengers arriving on late night services when onward connections are not available, and can meet you directly outside the station for drop-offs and pick-ups at any hour.

West Croydon station

West Croydon handles London Overground services and is a major interchange for the Tramlink network. If you are travelling to or from West Croydon, our drivers can meet you directly outside the station.

Croydon Tramlink

The Tramlink network is a convenient way to get around parts of Croydon but does not cover every destination – particularly further out from the tram corridor. Our minicab service fills that gap, especially for early morning and late night journeys when tram frequency drops and connections become unreliable.

Key destinations in Croydon

We regularly serve passengers travelling to and from:

Croydon University Hospital – one of the borough’s largest employers and a frequent destination for patients, visitors and staff at all hours
Fairfield Halls – Croydon’s main arts and entertainment venue, particularly busy on event nights
Boxpark Croydon – the food and entertainment hub on George Street, popular for evenings out
Whitgift Centre and the surrounding retail area in central Croydon

If you need a private hire car to or from any of these, book online or call 0208 401 6000.

Airport transfers from Croydon

Croydon is one of the best-positioned areas in South London for airport transfers. Gatwick Airport is approximately 30 minutes from central Croydon under normal traffic conditions, and Heathrow Airport is typically around 50 minutes.

All our airport transfer fares are fixed and include all drop-off and pick-up zone charges – there is nothing extra to pay at the airport. We monitor flights in real time so your driver will always be there when you land, even if your flight is delayed.
